Google Classroom-Basic and Adding Digital Content with Engaging Discussion

Clear Targets:
Log into CMCSS Google account
Access Google Classroom
Create a Google Classroom and locate 'Join Code'
Add a variety of digital content to the classroom in a variety of ways
Develop process for promoting high quality online discussions
Develop high quality discussion questions
Log into Google
Open Google in a browser
Click Sign in in the upper right corner
Enter your CMCSS email
Enter Password (password is not connected to my log-in)
Navigate to Google Classroom
Click Waffle
Select Drive
Click Waffle (in Drive)
Click More (at bottom of list)
Scroll until Classroom icon appears
Click on Classroom icon
(First time users will need to go through a few extra steps)
Click the "+" symbol to Create a class.
Name the class.
Find the Code
Click Students
Locate Code to left of Stream
Note the permissions under the class code
Be deliberate with these settings
Adding to the
Classroom
Reuse a Post
Pose a Question
Create an assignment
Add a comment
Types of Content
Video, Audio, Text, Forms, Images, etc.
Attachments
From Google Drive
From You Tube
Link from web
Add Content from
a source
